RoadBook turns a route on the map into a professional rally roadbook. Tap your route onto the map, and RoadBook finds every junction and roundabout along the way and draws it as a tulip diagram, the classic ball-and-arrow notation used in Dutch rallies. Check each situation, fine-tune where you like, and export a print-ready roadbook as PDF.
RoadBook runs on Mac and iPad, and your routes sync through iCloud. Plan on your Mac, finish on your iPad.
Tap your waypoints onto the map and they snap to the road automatically, while RoadBook calculates the route in between. Switch between the standard map and satellite view to spot the most beautiful roads.
Drag a waypoint to move it, insert a new one anywhere along the route, or delete one you no longer need. Made a mistake? Undo it in one tap.
While you plan, you keep an eye on the total distance and the expected driving time. Planning a round trip? Close the route as a loop with a single action, and it ends right where it started.
Already have a route? Import a GPX file and continue from there, or export your route as GPX for your navigation device or another app.

As soon as you place your route, RoadBook detects the points where the driver has to make a choice.
Each one becomes a tulip with the real shape of the road: side roads, cycle paths, dual carriageways and roundabouts with the correct number of exits.
The junction data is built into the app, so it is fast and works without a connection.
Want it different? The tulip editor lets you adjust every arm, add side roads, traffic signs and traffic lights, and mark each situation as checked. Map and tulips sit side by side, so you always see where you are.
In the RoadBook step everything comes together: interval and total distances in kilometres or miles, street names, your own instructions and photos.
Reorder situations, hide the ones you don't need, and keep full control over what your drivers see.
Add a cover page, a header with the route map and your club logo, and export the result as a PDF that is ready for the printer.

Draw authentic Dutch ANWB direction signs and diagrammatic signs, complete with road numbers, distances and arrows.
Place them on a tulip or in your roadbook, save them in My signs and reuse them in your next route.
Give your drivers a shorter alternative for when time is running out. An alternative route branches off at a navigation point and rejoins the main route further on, with its own tulips.
Or send them off the route for a break: point out a viewpoint or a terrace, and RoadBook finds the wayback again.
Both appear as their own block at the back of your roadbook, with a reference at the right spot in the PDF and in the GPX export, so your drivers always know where they can choose.
